Bow t-shirt tutorial

Tip Junkie handmade projects

First i started out with a regular white t-shirt... mine was an old one from f21 and v-neck.

The next step is cutting 4 pieces of fabric about 8 or 9 inches by 3 1/2 or 4 inches. These will be for the bows. Also you want to cut 4 small strips of fabric for the center of the bows.

You are going to want to fold the small strips and iron down the sides for the fabric will not fray.

Now it's time to make the bows. First fold the fabric long ways, and then the fat ways. (hotdog and hamburger)

Now, pinch the middle of the fabric.

Next, put a dot of hot glue on the backside of the bow and stick one of the small stips onto it.

wrap the strip around the bow and glue the end down. Now repeat these steps to all 4 of the bows... Now is time to make the actual shirt part, which is very easy. First you just arrange the bows how you want them and just sew them down. Make sure they are very secure.

Once you are done sewing you now have a cute new bow top. Personally I love the bows, but my fam was not too sure about them.

mine turned out a tad bit funky because the bottom 2 bows are a little far apart. o well it looks fine with a neclace.

I- Spy around my house

Little Miss Momma has been doing an i-spy series, and i thought i would join... Check out her blog, it is so awesome, and she is adorable. Anyways here is a little piece of my house...

I spy an old picture of my beautiful grandma. and a vintage gold clutch!
I spy my old trusty computer, which i love, and my new vintage pillowcase.
I spy some creepy ghost children, me and my brothers. My mom was a little creped out by this.
I spy an adorable vintage hat, next to the mops? I really have no idea why it is there.
I spy my guitar, that I just started playing again.
I spy my globe that I got from a thrift store!
I spy our record player, which i just love to death, really its awesome!
I spy my little brothers music box collection, don't you just love the little sewing machine?
I spy a Polaroid camera that my brother got from an estate sale.

I spy my vintage camera that i got for $2 at a yard sale! My lil bro is so jealous of it.

This whole project thingy really made me appreciate all the things that I have and love that i see each day. I was blessed with a beautiful home and family...

I finally did one of my 20 before 20!!! YAY. Me and my friend, Amy, learned how to make these paper swans last weekend.

my uneventful day

so here is how my day went...
first I woke up super early...okay at 9:30, and went to the discount fabric store with my grandma. It was fun to spend time with her, she is so awesome! anyways we were at the fabric store for over 2 hours, she takes forever! heres what i purchased...

then we had company for dinner, ate delicious chili, and played intense games on the Wii. After everyone was gone I whipped up a little mustache and David and I took some goofy pics. It was so much fun!

Lazy Days

Its raining here in CAli. We spent most of the day sipping tea and playing games in front of a warm fire. I love how its so cozy in our house and a storm outside. The sound is so neat! I decided to at least do something while i was sitting there, so i made this gorgeous bracelet with some pearls i took off a bracelet and vintage lace ( i think it was my great grandmothers), i just hope it doesn't break, its really fragile.
